The Institute for Peace Studies was established in accordance with the decisions and recommendations of the Council of Professors No. (1/2021) dated 8/2/2020 of the University of Geneina Law for the year 2015, to play its role in spreading the culture of peace and encourage research and studies in the field of sustainable peace, and to borrow from the cultural and humanitarian component to develop it in order to serve peace and raise awareness among social components.

Vision:

To have a community in which the spirit of coexistence is prevailed and to build trust among communities.

Mission:

To achieve security and social peace.

Goals:

1- To spread the culture of peace and peaceful coexistence among communities.
2- To spread the culture of democracy and political practice, and create partnerships with civil society organizations and international and regional organizations in the fields of peace.
3- To conduct studies and scientific research in the fields of peace.
4- To implement the graduate studies program in peace studies.
